Keys Group Keys Group

Keys Group provides care and support services for vulnerable people, including education and residential services for young people and adults in England and Wales. Their goal is to create a welcoming and personalised environment for the individuals they support, particularly young people transitioning into their care. Shane Gidman, Group IT and Procurement Director at Keys Group wanted to allow the individuals they support to customise their living spaces and choose items that cater to their preferences and interests. By providing access to Amazon Business, young people could select items for their bedrooms, games, and other personal items, fostering a sense of individuality and comfort in their new environment.

Through their partnership with Amazon Business, they have streamlined their procurement processes, reduced their supplier base by approximately 1,000 organisations, and realised cost savings of 10-15% by ensuring they receive VAT invoices. Additionally, they have adopted consolidated monthly invoicing, further enhancing operational efficiency.Keys Group recognises that their central support functions, including procurement, ultimately contribute to improving the lives of the individuals they serve, aligning with their core value of prioritising the voices and experiences of those in their care.

"Procurement can play a really important part, especially if you've got a young person coming into a very unfamiliar environment where they are already very nervous. For us, where we've used Amazon Business really successfully is getting a young person in front of a computer screen and together being able to fit out their own bedroom or pick out the games they want."
