How Amazon Business is helping to spread festive cheer this Christmas

UK based charity Rays of Sunshine has partnered with Amazon Business this holiday season to help grant even more wishes for seriously ill children across the country.

UK based charity Rays of Sunshine has partnered with Amazon Business this holiday season to help grant even more wishes for seriously ill children across the country.

 

For over 20 years, Rays of Sunshine has worked to brighten the lives of children aged 3-18 suffering from serious illnesses. Through granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospitals and communities, they have reached over 80,000 children and their families, helping create precious memories during difficult times.

 

This Christmas, Rays of Sunshine is simplifying the donation process through a new “Christmas Toy Appeal” launching on November 19th in collaboration with Amazon Business. Donors can donate gifts entirely online that will be immediately dispatched by Amazon Business and delivered directly to hospitals for free.

“By allowing our donors to choose from a predefined list of gifts, and automating the process, we’ll be able to scale our impact and bring joy to even more children this festive season."

Streamlining gift donations to arrive in time for Christmas

 

With over 100 hospital partnerships caring for 200-300 seriously ill children each, streamlining gift donations allows the charity to focus more time on their core mission of spreading joy.

 

Rays of Sunshine has already benefited from Amazon Business in their everyday work purchasing gifts to make wishes even more magical and for their projects in hospitals and communities. Through their Business Prime account, they leverage climate friendly purchasing and support local businesses.

 

The success of the Christmas Toy Appeal has the charity looking towards expanding the program to World Book Day and National Teddy Bear Day. Automating online gift donations through Amazon Business will enable Rays of Sunshine to grant even more wishes in the future.
